Autonomous Quad-Copter Cansat.

We're building a drone capable of autonomous flight and 3D mapping. Making it ideal for hard to reach places.

The Flight Controller software is being designed, from scratch, by us.

The Project

Quadcopter Flight
This allows us full control over our trajectory. Unlike a parachute, our Cansat can't get lost!
DIY Flight Controller Software
We're designing our own Flight Controller software. Complete with simulations, autonomous flight and human override.
Terrain Mapping
Maps the ground with real-time data. Directly from sensors on the drone to processing on the ground station.
Real Time Telemetry
With Real Time Telemetry, no data is lost! This also allows us real time control over the trajectory being taken.

About AtlaSat

We're a group of 5 students from Colégio Sagrado Coração de Maria de Lisboa building a Cansat.
From the start, we've had a goal in mind that has slowly been turning into a reality.

How it's Changing Us

Building this project has given us new insight into areas we've never touched before.
From pitching our idea, to developing this website and designing the cansat, this project is developing real-life skills that will be essential for us
